Job Summary:

The Metropolitan Hospitality Group is seeking a skilled Mixology Expert to join our team at Blatt Beer and Table in Downtown Omaha, NE. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a memorable dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the bar for guest service, including laying out napkins and utensils, refilling condiments, and performing other preparation tasks.
  • Stay up-to-date on current menu choices, specialties, and menu deviations to provide informed recommendations to guests.
  • Greet guests, prepare drinks to recipe specifications, present menus, suggest dishes, and assist in drink selection.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the bar area and surrounding environment.
  • Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor.
  • Fulfill customer needs, including delivering items, offering desserts and drinks, removing courses, and replenishing utensils and glasses.
  • Process payments, issue receipts, and return change to customers.
  • Assist with special events as needed and fill in for absent staff members.
  • Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently.
  • Understand and communicate products and services available.

Requirements:

  • Previous bartending experience required.
  • Excellent oral communication skills required.
  • Positive interpersonal skills required.
  • Ability to understand and apply written and verbal instruction.
  • Ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to work in all areas of the restaurant, including point of sale operations, payment exchange, beverage fulfillment, and food delivery within dining areas.
  • Position requires standing, bending, lifting, kneeling, and walking for the entire workday.
