Hendrick Automotive Group is seeking an experienced and skilled Collision Estimator to join our team. This role is responsible for estimating the cost of repairs for damaged vehicles, ensuring that all work is done efficiently and effectively.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of body repair methods and techniques, as well as excellent communication skills to interact with customers and other team members. They will be able to work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals and targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling appointments with customers and communicating with them regarding their vehicle's damage and estimated repair costs
  • Inspecting damaged vehicles to assess the extent of the damage and determining the necessary repairs
  • Preparing accurate and detailed estimates for repairs, including labor and parts costs
  • Collaborating with other team members, such as technicians and supervisors, to ensure that all repairs are completed on time and to a high standard
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports of all work performed, including customer interactions and repair history

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the automotive industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work with diverse groups of people
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to interpret technical information and make informed decisions
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently, with attention to detail and quality
