About the Role

This position involves administering information security measures to safeguard against unauthorized access, modification, or disclosure of sensitive information. The successful candidate will have advanced expertise in Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) technologies and incident response processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer information security through processes and tools to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information.
  • Review computer system access reports to identify potential security violations and escalate findings for further investigation and resolution.
  • Investigate and respond to security incidents, ensuring timely actions are taken to contain, mitigate, and remediate threats.
  • Coordinate with incident response teams to conduct root cause analysis of security incidents.
  • Assist in maintaining and executing incident response plans.
  • Monitor security tools and alerts for signs of potential incidents, responding rapidly to threats and vulnerabilities.

A salary of approximately $120,000 per year is estimated based on industry standards and regional cost of living.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you should possess:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or related field.
  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, SANS GIAC, or other relevant certifications.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Information Security, preferably with expertise in EDR technologies and incident response.
  • Familiarity with information security standards, including NIST, COBIT, ISO 27001, ITIL.
  • Technical proficiency in security-related systems and ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
