About the Role

B & I Contractors, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Plumber to join our dynamic team. As a leading mechanical contracting company in Florida, we specialize in large-scale commercial projects and offer a range of benefits and opportunities for career advancement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret specifications and blueprints to complete job tasks, including installing plumbing equipment, piping, and assemblies.
  • Ensure all necessary materials, equipment, and tools are available to complete assigned projects.
  • Follow company policies and enforce safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Study schedules and ensure timely reporting to job sites.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems with assigned helpers.
  • Accurately record own time and ensure accuracy of records.
Requirements
  • Minimum of three years commercial plumbing experience.
  • Med Gas certification is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of shop math and ability to work with tools, metals, and machines.
  • Visualize three-dimensional objects from drawings, sketches, or blueprints.
  • Ability to work within precise limits and standards.
  • Appropriate journeyman experience.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work with planning calendars.
  • Perform a variety of duties that may change often.
Safety Awareness

B & I Contractors, Inc. prioritizes safety for all roles. This position may require Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety protocols outlined in the Safety Handbook.

Physical Requirements

The successful candidate must be able to see well, hear and speak clearly, and use hands, fingers, arms, and legs fully. They must also be able to kneel, crouch, and crawl, climb and balance on ladders and scaffolds, climb stairs, reach overhead, push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds or more with assistance.
