Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled CDL A Instructor to join our team at Straight Through Logistics Llc.

The ideal candidate will have a valid CDL Class-A license and a minimum of 3 years of verifiable over-the-road (OTR) or local commercial driving experience.

Responsibilities include:

  • Demonstrating assigned driving operations for students on a regular basis
  • Overseeing the safe operation and use of equipment when being used by students
  • Supervising all assigned trainees and completing necessary documentation
  • Providing in-person daily instruction to students in areas such as Full Pre-Trip Inspection, Basic Control Skills, and Road Driving

Qualifications:

  • Valid CDL Class-A license
  • No more than 3 moving violations in the last 2 years
  • Minimum of 3 years verifiable OTR or local commercial driving experience
  • Ability to obtain DOT Medical Examiner Certificate and pass DOT drug screen and hair follicle drug screen
  • Active Florida instructor license
  • Ability to effectively communicate and provide training to others
  • Intellectual and leadership abilities needed to provide instruction on full pre-trip inspection, basic control skills, and over-the-road training
