About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Psychologist to join our team at the Department of Veterans Affairs. As a Senior Psychologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality mental health services to our nation's veterans.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and develop treatment plans for veterans with a range of mental health conditions.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions, as well as cognitive-behavioral therapy and other evidence-based interventions.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and coordination of services.
- Conduct research and participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance mental health services and outcomes.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff members to ensure the development of their clinical and research skills.
- Doctoral degree in psychology from an accredited institution.
- Current licensure to practice psychology in the state of employment.
- At least four years of experience as a professional psychologist, with at least one year equivalent to the GS-14 grade level.
- Strong research and clinical skills, with a focus on evidence-based practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
