Job Summary

Boyd Company is seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our production team. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine and repetitive assembly and subassembly operations under close supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assembly Operations: Assemble mechanical units and subassemblies following specific instructions and guidelines.
  2. Quality Control: Work to moderate tolerances requiring limited skill and knowledge in assembly operations, with work reviewed by more experienced personnel.
  3. Equipment Operation: Operate various equipment such as saws, deburrers, degreasers, drill presses, packing equipment, glass beader, and punch presses with minimal instruction.
  4. Test Operations: Perform simple functional test operations to ensure quality and accuracy.
  5. Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized work area, and equipment in a safe and orderly condition.
  6. Record Keeping: Record and maintain record logs associated with production processes.
Requirements

To be successful as an Assembly Technician, you will need to have:

  1. Basic Assembly Skills: Ability to assemble mechanical units and subassemblies following specific instructions.
  2. Attention to Detail: Ability to work to moderate tolerances and maintain quality standards.
  3. Basic Equipment Operation: Ability to operate various equipment with minimal instruction.
