Radiology Technologist

At Intermountain Health, we are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team as an Imaging Specialist. This is a full-time position working 36 hours per week with opportunities for career advancement and professional development.
About the Role:
- As a Radiology Technologist - Imaging Specialist, you will perform medical imaging examinations under the guidance of a physician, ensuring high-quality images while prioritizing patient safety and comfort.
- You will be responsible for patient identification, preparing for exams, and maintaining a clean and organized environment.
- The role also involves documentation, coordinating patient care, and pursuing ongoing education and professional development in the field of radiology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform radiologic exams that produce quality images and ensure patient and staff safety by following proper protocols, correct patient positioning, and appropriate equipment use.
- Utilize sterile technique when performing invasive procedures and recognize emergent patient situations, responding quickly and appropriately.
- Thoroughly complete all required documentation, including time stamps and image storage, and coordinate patient care, communicating pertinent information to other healthcare providers.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and safe environment for patients and staff, ensuring supplies and equipment are stored efficiently.
- Pursue individual education and career development opportunities, emphasizing those for new procedures and equipment.
Requirements:
- ARRT registration
- Current Rad Tech license in state of practice (if working in Utah)
- BLS certification for Healthcare providers
Preferred Qualifications:
- IV certification
