Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Social Worker to join our team at Page Unified School District #8. As a key member of our Student Support Services department, you will play a vital role in providing direct assistance to students, promoting their academic and personal success, and fostering a positive school environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess student needs through observations, social history interviews, and consultations with teachers and staff to provide targeted interventions and support.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to address student concerns, including behavior management, academic support, and social-emotional development.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other support staff to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to student support.
  • Provide crisis intervention services, including responding to emergencies, facilitating referrals to community agencies, and supporting students and families in times of need.
  • Coordinate school programs that address the physical and emotional needs of students and their families, including food, clothing, shelter, and holiday assistance.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions, interventions, and progress.
  • Participate in professional growth opportunities, including staff development, conferences, and workshops, to stay current on best practices and research-based interventions.
Requirements
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), ADE Certified School Social Worker, or Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Bachelor's in Social Work or Related Field.
  • Knowledge and awareness of Native American cultures and experience working with Native American students and families preferred.
  • Bilingual - Navajo/English preferred, but not required.
  • DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card.

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with frequent interactions with students, staff, and community members. The successful candidate will be able to maintain confidentiality, work effectively in a team, and demonstrate a commitment to student-centered practice.
