Night Custodian

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Night Custodian to join our team at Hillside School District 93. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our school buildings, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our students and staff.

• Perform custodial and maintenance duties, including cleaning and maintaining classrooms, offices, bathrooms, and other areas as assigned.
• Responsible for nightly cleaning and preparation of the building for students and staff.
• Assist with setting up and moving furniture, equipment, and supplies for school events.
• Distribute and deliver items to classrooms and offices.
• Perform driving duties as needed, including deliveries and other necessary tasks.
• Perform minor maintenance and repairs within the building, including repairing or replacing equipment and fixtures.
• Assist with snow and ice removal from entrances and sidewalks.
• Perform crossing guard duty as assigned.
• Respond to building calls, requests, and emergencies as required.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid State of Illinois driver's license and excellent driving record required.
• Background check as outlined by ISBE required.
• Ability to follow written and oral directions, work with adults and children, and follow a set schedule.
• General knowledge of building materials, equipment, tools, and techniques.
• Basic computer skills required.

This is a full-time position, 12 months per year. The successful candidate will be required to work a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends, and may be required to lift and move heavy objects.
