About the Role

Fulton Bank is seeking a highly skilled Mortgage Loan Officer to join our team in the Williamsport, PA market. As a Mortgage Loan Officer, you will be responsible for soliciting first mortgages through contacts with realtors, builders, and developers, and working with customers and prospective customers to assist them in identifying and securing a mortgage loan that is appropriate for their individual financial circumstances.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and expand referral sources to solicit first mortgages, including maintaining regular contact with Realtors and participating in building and trade shows.
  • Collect and analyze applicants' financial information to assess their financial circumstances and determine whether they qualify for a particular loan.
  • Interview applicants and provide required information, including income, assets, investments, debt, credit history, and characteristics of property.
  • Engage in customer-specific persuasive sales activity to encourage potential customers to do business with Fulton Bank and cross-promote other services and financial products.
  • Perform work related to the loans originated, including obtaining and analyzing pertinent financial and credit data, following up with customers and prospective customers, and completing paperwork related to the loans.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 or more years of recent residential mortgage lending experience, including experience in the local market.
  • Proven ability to develop referral sources from contacts and relationships outside the organization.
