Job Summary

Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate School Psychologist to join our team in Socorro, NM. As a School Psychologist, you will work with a caseload of 30 students, providing essential mental health and behavioral interventions, counseling, assessments, and participation in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide counseling and mental health interventions to students to support their social-emotional well-being and academic success.
  • Conduct assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, academic, social-emotional, and behavioral functioning.
  • Develop and implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and support strategies to address challenging behaviors and promote positive alternatives.
  • Participate in the development and review of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), providing input on students' needs and goals.
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, administrators, and families to support a positive school climate and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
  • Valid New Mexico state School Psychologist license or eligibility for licensure.
  • Strong understanding of psychological assessment tools, behavior intervention strategies, and special education laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders to support the academic, social, and emotional needs of students.
