Job Title: Class 'A' CDL - Regional Driver

At Progress Rail Services Corp., we are seeking a skilled and experienced Class A CDL driver to join our team as a Regional Driver. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for driving a pre-planned regional route to deliver freight to internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials to various locations.
  • Secure freight to flatbed trailer with chains, binders, and straps.
  • Read maps and plan trips to ensure efficient delivery of goods.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on equipment to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Complete driver's paperwork, including logs, trip reports, and DVIRs.
  • Schedule maintenance of equipment with the shop to ensure optimal performance.
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 25 years of age.
  • Must have a valid Class A CDL License with a good driving record.
  • Must have at least 2 years of recent OTR verifiable tractor trailer experience (Flatbed preferred).
  • Compliance with state and federal DOT rules and regulations.
  • Engaging personality with a stable work history.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of employees and customers.
