Transportation Planning and Traffic Engineering Expert

Hamilton-Ryker's Long Beach office is seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer-in-Training with 2+ years of experience to join their Transportation/Traffic team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform traffic engineering and project management tasks to deliver transportation planning, transit, traffic engineering, safety, and intelligent transportation systems (ITS) projects for diverse clients.
  • Develop and implement innovative solutions to complex transportation challenges.
  • Assist with managing projects profitably and engage in hands-on practice and delivery of projects.
  • Transition work to qualified staff and act as a positive leader and mentor.
  • Contribute significantly to marketing and business development efforts and have the autonomy to pursue their own passions, leads, and clients.
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of traffic engineering experience, including preparing and/or reviewing traffic impact studies, parking studies, and site access and circulation studies.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree from an ABET-accredited university in Civil Engineering.
  • Engineer-In-Training or Engineering Intern certification.
  • Experience using Synchro, VISSIM, and/or other traffic analysis software applications.
  • Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment.
