Truss Designer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Truss Designer to join our team. As a Truss Designer, you will be responsible for creating accurate and complete Truss Placement Plans and Truss Design Drawings for commercial and residential building projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and create Truss Placement Plans and Truss Design Drawings using design software, CAD, and other supporting component design software.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients to discuss design issues and changes.
  • Exercise complete attention to detail to ensure accuracy and safety in design.
  • Utilize advanced math skills for calculating lengths, weights, angles, and technical knowledge of CAD software and other related computer programs.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members throughout the design process.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3-5 years of Truss Design and Draft experience in the Construction and Building Materials industries.
  • Highly proficient in MiTek software.
  • High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
  • Industry knowledge and experience in Construction and Building Materials.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
