Ink Technician

Printpack, a leading manufacturer of flexible packaging products, is seeking a qualified Ink Technician to fill an opening at their VR1 facility in Villa Rica, Georgia. This position will report to the Ink Department Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Servicing ink department customers in a timely manner
• Returning ink from completed jobs at press, capturing solvent usage, and returning ink to its proper location
• Maintaining accurate inventory of ink adhesives and solvents
• Receiving and verifying materials to ensure accuracy of orders
• Providing data to PRISM in support of the manufacturing, sales, and materials information system
• Demonstrating effective interaction skills to support team activities related to effective process decisions and goals
• Assisting in daily changeovers on the presses while maintaining ink/solvent needs
• Contributing to waste reduction needs of the department

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required
• Ability to be self-directed and multi-task
• Must pass the Farnsworth-Munsell 100 Hue Color test
• Demonstrate working knowledge of a formula database program
• Must pass a background check, physical, and drug screen
• Resume containing qualifications required

Preferred Requirements:

• Plate, Ink, and/or Press Department experience

Internal Applicants:

• Last performance review rated Effective or higher
• No disciplinary actions beyond a written within the past 180 days
