Job Summary
- Deliver high-quality patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized care plans.
- Document and charge patient care activities in a timely and accurate manner.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to achieve effective throughput and adhere to case management models.
- Exemplify team behavior and provide exceptional patient and guest experiences.
- Promote patient safety and quality by upholding and advocating for evidence-based practices.
The Registered Nurse, in collaboration with the healthcare team, coordinates the plan of care activities for assigned patients. The Registered Nurse identifies opportunities to participate in unit performance improvement activities as directed. Responsibilities include meeting Joint Commission standards, complying with state and federal regulations, managing supplies and equipment, promoting teamwork with healthcare providers, and managing resources appropriately.
Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment/Documentation - Provides and documents patient care based on the nursing process, in compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Patient Rights - Supports and protects the rights of each patient served, treats each patient with dignity and care, and maintains patient confidentiality/privacy.
- Patient Safety - Demonstrates commitment to patient safety initiatives, including patient falls, medication safety, National Patient Safety Goals, critical value reporting, and administration of blood products.
- Patient/Family Education - Provides appropriate patient/family education, per department and hospital policy and procedures.
Qualifications
- Education Required and/or Preferred: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (required), Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred).
- Licensure/Certification: RN license in this state (required).
- Experience: Minimum of one year experience (required), must pass medication test.
