Electrical Journeyman

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Journeyman to join our team at Zero Impact Builders, a leading provider of renewable energy solutions. As an Electrical Journeyman, you will play a critical role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial properties.
Key Responsibilities:- Read and interpret electrical code specifications, blueprints, and schematics to determine the layout of electrical equipment installations.
- Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, boxes, conduits, feeders, panels, commercial switchgear, transformers, disconnects, and other electrical components.
- Test electrical equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.
- Maintain, repair, install, and test switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, and other electrical systems.
- Communicate with clients in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
- Collaborate with construction workers, plumbers, and other crew members to ensure safe and efficient work practices.
- Trench for electrical underground installations.
- Test electrical systems using tools such as voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and ohmmeters to determine where issues may be occurring and ensure the safety of the system.
- Repair electrical issues by replacing or installing components, wiring, or devices.
- Determine the steps necessary to assess an electrical situation using testing devices, blueprints, and maps.
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all company guidelines and OSHA safety requirements.
- Use ladders, scaffolding, platforms, and lifts to work on electrical systems in commercial properties.
- Trench and install underground PVC and overhead EMT.
- Interpersonal Skills: Focus on solving conflict, not blaming; maintains confidentiality; listens to others, is proactive in resolving issues.
- Written Communication: Write clearly and informatively; conscious of audience and varies writing style accordingly; able to read and interpret written requirements.
