Role Overview:
The MRI Imaging Specialist is responsible for conducting MRI procedures in alignment with the established standards and protocols set by the Medical Director of Radiology. This role also includes training for personnel in MR safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce high-quality MRI images for patients across all age groups, from neonates to geriatrics.
- Adhere to established scanning protocols while operating MRI equipment efficiently.
- Manage workflow effectively to accommodate urgent and STAT requests.
- Exhibit proficiency in handling trauma and complex cases, adjusting techniques as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Completion of coursework in MRI and cross-sectional anatomy.
- A minimum of one year of experience in MRI procedures.
- Certification in Radiology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS).
- Post-primary MRI certifications required after one year in the role.
