About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Baker to join our team at Mississippi Market Natural Foods Co-op. As a key member of our Central Kitchen and Co-op, you will be responsible for preparing baked goods from scratch for our three store locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare high-quality baked goods for our stores, ensuring they meet our safety and quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to our sanitation and safety protocols.
  • Provide excellent internal customer service, working effectively with our team to meet our customers' needs.
  • Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining our storage rooms.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to improve your skills and knowledge in baking and food production.
Requirements
  • High-volume baking experience, with a focus on natural foods and scratch baking.
  • Strong understanding of food production and fundamental baking techniques.
  • Basic math skills and ability to accurately measure ingredients.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for long periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with natural foods and scratch baking.
  • Multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with our diverse team and customers.
