Saddle Stitcher

Hudson Printing Co is seeking a skilled Mechanical Operator to join their team. As a key member of the bindery department, you will be responsible for operating various machinery, including the Saddle Stitch Binding Machine and Guillotine Cutting Machine.

• Operate machinery to produce high-quality printed products
• Maintain equipment and ensure optimal performance
• Monitor quality and conditions to assess machine functionality
• Stage pallets and completed pallets
• Inspect finished product quality and certify to customer specifications
• Minimize waste and maintain efficiency
• Perform regular preventative maintenance and collaborate with maintenance crews
• Use a hydraulic pallet jack to move paper and printed products

• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, as well as fractions and decimals
• Auto, industrial, or mechanical experience
• Strong command of the English language for effective communication
• Manufacturing machine operation experience is highly preferred
• Attention to detail and technical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to stand and move around the work area for extended periods
• Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 85 pounds
• Support company safety policies and encourage employees to work safely

Bindery Day A-Shift: Sun-Tue, Sun-Wed (6 AM - 6 PM)
Bindery Day C-Shift: Thur-Sat, Wed-Sat (6 AM - 6 PM)
Bindery Night B-Shift: Mon-Thur (6 PM - 4:30 AM)
