Registered Nurse First Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) to join our team at Mercy Hospital. This travel position offers an exciting opportunity to work in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) and contribute to high-quality patient care.
Certification Requirements- RNFA certification is mandatory.
- AHA BLS certification is required.
- AHA ACLS certification is necessary for specific units.
- AHA PALS certification is required for certain units.
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure certification is essential for specific units.
- CNOR - Certified Nurse (OR) is preferred for RNFAs.
- CHEMO - Chemotherapy certification is not required for Oncology.
- TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course certification is required for ER.
- Tech Cert Verification - National Certification is required (NBSTSA for CSFAs and RNFAs).
- State License 1 Verification is mandatory.

- Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 80 hours per pay period. On-call duties for weekdays, weekends, and holidays will be discussed during the interview.
- Minimum of 18 months recent experience in CVOR.
- At least 18 months of permanent RNFA experience prior to travel.
- Experience with vein harvesting is essential.
- Must possess RNFA certification.
- Active RN License in Ohio or Compact RN License is required.
- AHA BLS certification is mandatory.
- Two recent references from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty are required for submission.
Work hours are Monday to Friday, totaling 80 hours per pay period. On-call responsibilities for weekdays, weekends, and holidays will be discussed during the interview process.
Unit Specific InformationFloating to the Main OR will be required if no CVOR cases are scheduled.
Additional Details- Government-issued photo ID is required and must be carried while on assignment.
- OR Tech First Assistants (CSFA) and RNFAs must possess a valid Driver's License.
