Position Overview:
The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) operates under the guidance of an anesthesiologist to administer anesthesia for various medical and surgical interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Collaborates closely with an anesthesiologist to provide anesthesia services for surgical and medical procedures.

2. Ensures comprehensive patient care throughout the anesthesia process, which includes:
    a. Conducting thorough patient assessments.
    b. Preparing patients for anesthesia.
    c. Administering and managing anesthesia to achieve optimal sedation and pain relief.
    d. Monitoring patient recovery from anesthesia and addressing immediate post-operative needs.

3. Engages in administrative duties that enhance the efficiency and quality of anesthesia services provided by the department.

4. Upholds an approved supervision agreement, making necessary revisions as required.

5. Actively participates in departmental performance improvement initiatives on an annual basis.

6. Undertakes additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

Technical Skills:
1. Prior experience as a CRNA is essential.
2. Pediatric experience is advantageous.
3. Ability to collaborate effectively with all organizational levels is necessary.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) or equivalent software is required.

Education and Credentials:
1. A Master's degree in a relevant field is mandatory; a Doctorate is preferred.
2. Required certifications include Registered Nurse licensure, CRNA certification, Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists certification, and ACLS certification.
3. Preferred experience in the field ranges from 0 to 2 years.
4. Supervisory experience is not required.

Work Environment:
This position requires onsite presence.
