Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough field investigations and data collection to identify the causes of structural failures and damage.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with building departments to determine repair directives and ensure compliance with relevant building codes and standards.
  • Develop and deliver technical papers and presentations on forensic engineering topics.
  • Engage in client relations and marketing activities to promote the firm's services and expertise.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) license.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with forensic engineering, failure analysis, or troubleshooting.
  • Testimony experience as a designated expert witness.
  • Experience in engineering design or construction.
  • Experience conducting damage assessments and forensic investigations.
