Job Summary

The Medical Assistant will assist patients and healthcare providers in delivering high-quality medical care. This role involves performing various clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete the rooming process, take vital signs, and record patient data in our electronic health record system.
  • Perform in-house labs, quality control, and maintenance of equipment according to organizational protocols.
  • Draw blood and collect specimens as directed by providers and process them accordingly.
  • Conduct routine tests in areas such as serology, hematology, chemistry, histology, and cytology using standard techniques and equipment.
  • Prepare exam rooms and assist/chaperone during examinations and treatments.
  • Keep clinical areas stocked and organized, ensuring all dated materials are current and disposing of outdated supplies.
  • Clean and sterilize equipment according to organizational policy and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Perform basic clerical work, answer phones, and communicate problems/concerns to nurses.
  • Ensure all necessary logs are maintained and records for laboratory tests are kept up-to-date.
Requirements
  • High School diploma/GED with Medical Assistant Training Certificate.
  • Preferred: Associate's degree with Medical Assistant Training Certificate and 1 year of related work experience.
