Position Overview:

This entry-level role within the Nutrition Services department is designed for individuals aspiring to gain experience in food preparation and customer service. Successful completion of training programs will lead to opportunities for regular part-time employment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in meal preparation by cooking and setting up serving areas, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
  2. Engage in meal service activities, including cash handling and dishwashing.

  5. Document food preparation and inventory accurately on designated worksheets.

Qualifications:

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Candidates must be at least 18 years old and possess prior experience in large volume food preparation or cashiering.

Licenses and Certifications:

A criminal background check is required prior to hiring. Candidates must also complete a physical examination and meet national professional standards for school nutrition professionals.
