Job Overview

About the Role

As a Veterinarian at Petco, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with our medical team to achieve exceptional patient outcomes. You will also contribute to the growth and success of our practice by identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing changes that enhance patient care and experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional patient care, including physical examinations, diagnostic testing, and treatment planning
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that meet the needs of patients and their owners
  • Collaborate with the medical team to achieve exceptional patient outcomes and improve patient satisfaction
  • Contribute to the growth and success of our practice by identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing changes that enhance patient care and experience
Requirements
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school
  • Active licensure as a veterinarian without contingencies in the state in which the hospital is located or ability to obtain by start date
  • Current DEA license
  • USDA Category I (minimum) Accreditation or completion within two months of hire date
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
