We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to join our team at Bronson Healthcare. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical department.
Key Responsibilities- Assist surgeons and medical staff during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring the proper use of equipment and instruments.
- Prepare and maintain surgical equipment, supplies, and instruments, ensuring they are in good working condition and readily available for use.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to anticipate and meet the needs of patients and surgeons, ensuring a safe and efficient surgical experience.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of surgical procedures, including patient information, surgical notes, and equipment usage.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest surgical techniques, technologies, and best practices.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; specialized formal training in surgical technology or a related field preferred.
- Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA) preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with surgeons, nurses, and other medical staff.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with frequent exposure to surgical procedures and equipment. The Surgical Technologist must be able to lift and move equipment and supplies, and may be required to work in a standing position for extended periods.
