Job Overview:
The Mixologist is tasked with crafting and serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with the establishment's standard drink recipes.

This role also emphasizes delivering friendly, attentive, and prompt service to ensure an outstanding experience for all patrons.

The primary goal of each Mixologist is to provide guests with such an enjoyable experience that they will eagerly return.



Qualifications:
To excel in this position, an individual must be capable of fulfilling each essential duty effectively. The qualifications listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.   • Extensive knowledge of standard drink recipes
  • Thorough understanding of spirits, wine, and beer
  • Familiarity with types of alcohol, various glassware, brand names, and garnishes
  • Proficient in using bar equipment
  • Knowledge and training in mixology
  • Numeracy and cash-handling abilities
  • Able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Capable of standing for extended periods
  • Ability to reach, bend, and frequently lift up to 30 pounds
  • Deliver exceptional guest service
  • Exhibit clear communication and interpersonal skills
  • Collaborate effectively as a team member
  • Maintain a high energy level in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate reliability, honesty, and integrity
  • Present a polished and professional appearance
  • Effectively communicate in English, both orally and in writing

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide food and beverage service to all guests at the bar
  • Thorough understanding of all food and beverage offerings
  • Verify customer identification to ensure legal drinking age compliance
  • Receive orders from serving staff or directly from patrons
  • Familiarity with POS systems and item entry procedures
  • Prepare and serve drinks according to standard recipes
  • Safely peel, slice, and pit fruit for drink garnishes
  • Ensure compliance with TAM and ACT guidelines to prevent overserving
  • Process transactions using the POS system, prepare checks, and handle customer payments
  • Arrange glasses and bottles attractively and manage the bar's aesthetic
  • Maintain cleanliness of glasses, bar equipment, and work areas
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards and policies
  • Monitor and restock bar inventory as needed
Working Conditions

  • While performing job duties, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and taste or smell

    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to heat from stoves and burners
    • The noise level in the work environment is typically loud
    • The employee frequently needs to walk
    Preferred

    • Minimum of 2 years of bartending experience in upscale or fine dining establishments
    • Certification from BarSmarts, WSET, Court of Master Sommeliers, Certified Beer Server, or any other professional beverage certifications preferred
