Job Summary

Parkridge East Hospital is seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our team on a PRN basis. As a Labor and Delivery Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families during the childbirth process.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to laboring women and their newborns, including administering medications, performing vaginal exams, and assisting with deliveries.
  • Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and communication.
  • Monitor fetal heart rates, maternal vital signs, and labor progress to identify potential complications and take appropriate action.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Current licensure by the Tennessee Board of Nursing or Compact State.
  • 1 year of RN experience, with Labor and Delivery experience required for PRN role.
  • BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN certifications within specified timeframes.
  • CPI Training & Certification within 6 months.
