Position Overview

At Farrelli's Pizza, our bartenders are sociable, engaging, and exhibit strong communication abilities, as they play a vital role in enhancing our guests' experiences. Our bartenders are organized, capable of quick and effective decision-making while maintaining composure, and are sensitive to guests' needs with a keen sense of timing. Key Responsibilities

The primary duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Greet each guest warmly with enthusiastic words, tone, and body language.
  • Ensure guests feel valued and appreciated.
  • Collaborate with team members to create a positive atmosphere and efficient service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in all areas to meet company standards.
  • Prepare, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes.
  • Input orders promptly into the system, handle payments accurately, and provide receipts.
  • Organize and clean bottles and glassware to maintain an appealing display.
  • Wash and sanitize glassware as required.
  • Anticipate guests' needs and follow the half-full rule when offering refills; remain attentive to guests' signals.
  • Verify the age of guests consuming alcoholic beverages and refuse service to those underage.
  • Serve alcohol responsibly and monitor guests' level of intoxication.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Must be of legal age to serve alcohol.
  • Possess the necessary health and/or alcohol compliance certification.
  • Basic math skills and the ability to handle cash and provide correct change are essential.
  • Basic reading and computer skills are required.
  • Familiarity with beer, wine, and spirits, along with knowledge of standard drink recipes.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills are a must.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Knowledge of the company's food and beverage standards and workplace safety protocols.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends, as the restaurant business primarily operates during these times.
