Job Summary

VetJobs is seeking a skilled Regional Truck Driver to join our team. As a Regional Truck Driver, you will be responsible for operating a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods between company facilities, terminals, and customer sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport and deliver freight regionally in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment and document any defects or repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Accurately document and log work/rest periods using an Electronic Logging Device (ELD).
  • Safely load and unload equipment/materials and properly secure all loads.
  • Understand and carry out instructions given orally and in writing, including those on manifests and shipping documents.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork, including shipping and billing documents.
  • Frequently communicate with Dispatch/Operations to advise of movements, problems, and delays.
Requirements
  • Must have and maintain a current valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
  • License must be a Class A with HAZ-MAT endorsement.
  • At least 2 years of CDL experience preferred.
  • Required 2 Years Clean MVR.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry 50 lbs.
  • Travel 100%.
Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

This is a largely sedentary role. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift load bars, up to 50 pounds.
