Position: General Laborer - Bundler - Evening Shift

The Bundler collaborates with fellow fabrication shop personnel to receive, inspect, and prepare pipe for assembly and banding, following the provided blueprints and sketches. This role is part of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union #219.

This position demands a proactive individual who thrives in a dynamic, multi-tasking environment, with a keen eye for detail and precision.

Work Schedule: Monday - Thursday 3:45 PM - 4:15 AM, Friday 3:45 PM - 2:15 AM. Voluntary overtime on Saturdays may be available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily offloading of pipe and ensuring proper transportation to designated areas.
  • Conduct Quality Control (QC) assessments, including dye penetrant testing on welds and inspection of grooves, while addressing any issues within the scope of training.
  • Assist in the assembly of couplings and fittings, ensuring compliance with specifications.
  • Review job information sheets and technical instructions to execute tasks accurately.
  • Operate pneumatic tools as required.
  • Input data into the computer system and interpret information to perform tasks effectively.
  • Utilize strong mathematical skills regularly.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to fulfill each essential duty effectively. The following qualifications are necessary:

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Technical or trade school training is advantageous.
  • Experience operating a tow motor is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain self-motivation.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Physical capability to lift at least 50 pounds.
