Job Summary

The Santa Ana Star Casino Hotel is seeking a skilled Cook II to join our culinary team. As an intermediate line cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes to meet the high standards of our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook food to order, following established recipes and plating procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to Board of Health Sanitation standards and kitchen hygiene practices.
  • Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and presentation.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and cooking techniques.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of prior culinary experience or culinary degree, or combination of the two.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Food Handlers Card required within 90 days of hire.

Essential Physical Functions:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, and move quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a non-smoking, climate-controlled environment.
