We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Quality Correctional Health Care (QCHC). As an LPN, you will provide nursing services to patients within a correctional environment, working under the supervision of the Site Administrator/Coordinator.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver nursing care as directed by the Physician within the scope of the State Board of Nursing Practice for the LPN.
- Respond and intervene in all emergency situations.
- Conduct Patient Intake paperwork and verify and obtain orders for patient medication.
- Administer medications following nursing standards and correctional regulations.
- Complete and document ordered treatments, patient care, and collection ordered labs.
- Assist provider with Chronic Care Clinic and Provider sick call visit.
- Monitor for, report and document changes in patient's condition.
- Accurately document all patient information, nursing care and interventions.
- Ensure daily nursing tasks are completed within prescribed timeframe.
- Maintain patient confidentiality.
- Assist with training and orientation of new personnel.
- Follow QCHC policies, procedures & guidelines.
- Successful completion of an Accredited Vocational/Technical School.
- Current and valid LPN or LVN license.
- Current CPR.
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a health care setting as an LPN. One year experience in a correctional health care setting is preferred.
- Competitive hourly rate of $27.00/hour.
- Shift differential of $2.00/hr.
- Matching 401k.
