Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Supervision: Manage a team of production staff, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee the implementation of lean manufacturing principles and the Toyota Production System (TPS) to drive continuous improvement and eliminate waste.
- Quality and Safety: Ensure that all production activities are conducted in a safe and healthy environment, and that quality standards are met or exceeded.
- Performance Management: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), such as productivity, quality, and safety metrics, to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address them.
- Training and Development: Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of production staff, and to ensure that they are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
- Communication and Collaboration: Foster open and effective communication with production staff, other departments, and management to ensure that everyone is aligned and working towards common goals.
- Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Identify and resolve problems promptly, and make informed decisions that align with the company's goals and objectives.
- Education: Associate's degree in Business Administration, Business Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a production or manufacturing leadership role.
- Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills; solid analytical and problem-solving skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office programs or related software.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds; ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when on the shop floor.
