Labor and Delivery Nurse

Job Summary:
Talent Healthcare Staffing is seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery RN to join our team. As a Labor and Delivery Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to expectant mothers and their newborns.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to laboring women and their newborns, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and monitoring fetal heart rates.
- Collaborate with obstetricians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, and provide education and support to promote healthy outcomes.
- Participate in emergency situations, such as code blues and postpartum hemorrhages, and respond to critical situations with calm and professional composure.
- Document patient information accurately and thoroughly, using electronic medical records and other tools as needed.
Requirements:
- Current RN licensure in the state of California.
- 2 years of recent experience in labor and delivery nursing, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care and promoting positive outcomes.
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a focus on providing exceptional patient care and promoting a positive work environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Epic charting experience.
- BLS, ACLS (AHA) NRP certifications.
Work Environment:
This is a contract position, working 3 x 12-hour night shifts per week. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a hospital setting, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care and promoting positive outcomes.
