Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary:

As a Registered Nurse at Marshall Health, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate nurse to join our medical-surgical unit, where you will have the opportunity to work with patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care as ordered by physicians, including injections, suture removal, dressing changes, and other duties as required.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing information on health care needs, medication therapy, and wound care.
• Assist physicians with examinations, procedures, and other processes related to direct patient care.
• Monitor and ensure accuracy of documentation on patient medical records.
• Schedule patients for various x-rays, scans, surgical procedures, and hospital admissions.
• Maintain an adequate stock of supplies and proper functioning of equipment.
• Prepare rooms for exams as specified by each individual physician.
• Perform ancillary patient care duties, including calling prescriptions to pharmacies and assisting physicians with return calls to patients.

Requirements:

• Graduate of a school of nursing with a current RN license.
• Minimum one year experience in medical-surgical nursing or related clinical experience.
