About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Veterinary Technician Supervisor to join our team at VCA Lecanto Animal Hospital. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing clinic operations and leading our team of Veterinary Technicians and Assistants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directing workflow on the floor
  • Cultivating an engaging work environment and maintaining our strong hospital culture
  • Working cohesively with hospital management and supervisory teams to aid in the progression of the hospital
  • Assisting with the interview process for potential new hires and onboarding all new associates
  • Providing opportunities for staff to gain more firsthand experience
  • Mentoring technicians within the department
  • Resolving conflicts in a professional and humble manner
  • Refining and implementing protocols
  • Ensuring that VCA policies, guidelines, and recommendations are implemented by all members of the technical staff

Requirements:

  • Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, RVT, LVMT) with a preference for FL CVT
  • 5+ years of clinical experience
  • Team leadership experience
  • Passion for Veterinary Medicine
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
