Registered Nurse Job SummaryThis position involves working under the Clinical Care Supervisor to provide excellent patient and family care, reflecting our mission, vision, and values. The Registered Nurse coordinates and delegates unit and patient care activities, ensuring departmental goals for improvement are met across the care continuum.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform patient assessments and document patient records.
- Develop age-appropriate plans of care addressing physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Implement the plan of care, delegate tasks appropriately, and ensure documentation of interventions.
- Evaluate progress toward desired outcomes, revise the plan of care as necessary, and intervene when required.
- Educate patients and families about their health status, plan of care, and anticipated outcomes.
- Provide exceptional service to all customers.
- Maintain professional standards related to clinical practice, staffing, and continuing education.
- Practice fiscal responsibility and accountability.
- Participate actively in hospital committees, CQI teams, and the Quality Improvement Program.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment.
- May be required to work on other nursing units according to staff distribution and patient needs.
- Comply with the hospital's Corporate Compliance Program, including laws, regulations, and policies.
- Education:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Licensure:
- Wyoming RN license.
- Certifications:
- Please refer to Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification Policy and Certifications/Education Requirements Policy.
- Experience:
- Medical/surgical nursing experience is preferred.
- Demonstrate the ability to maintain continuing education requirements and certifications (e.g., ACLS, PALS, CPI, CPR) to maintain professional licensure.
- Licensed professionals must adhere strictly to their respective discipline's ethical code.
- Show efficient time management and prioritization skills.
- Assess patient conditions, formulate plans of care, select interventions, evaluate patient responses, and explain/teach patients about their condition/recovery.
- Handle emergency high-stress situations effectively.
- Perform multiple tasks simultaneously with frequent interruptions and under stressful conditions.
- Display analytical and reasoning skills with high mental concentration and memory.
- Communicate clearly to develop positive interactions with patients, families, physicians, and staff to deliver quality care.
- Show computer knowledge, including entering data into electronic records, and operate fax machines, computers, and copy machines to perform job duties.
The estimated salary for this position is $85,000 - $115,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Campbell County Health offers a range of benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
