Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty - Nursing to join our team at Holyoke Community College. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing quality learning experiences for our nursing students, including instruction in clinical practice and simulation laboratory settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement curriculum for nursing courses, including clinical and simulation laboratory experiences.
  • Provide instruction and guidance to students in clinical practice and simulation laboratory settings.
  • Evaluate student performance and provide feedback to students.
  • Collaborate with department chairs, faculty, and staff to ensure a cohesive and effective learning environment.
  • Stay current with industry developments and best practices in nursing education.
  • Participate in departmental and college-wide initiatives to promote student success and retention.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Nursing or a related field.
  • Current unencumbered Massachusetts Registered Nurse license.
  • Minimum of five years full-time Registered Nurse experience within the last eight years.
  • Acute-care medical surgical nursing experience.
  • Ability to demonstrate teaching skills in the clinical and/or simulation lab area.
  • Confident and comfortable with technology-based instruction.
  • Commitment to support underrepresented students in nursing.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse faculty, staff, and students.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Nurse Education certification by a Board recognized certifying organization.
  • Experience with curriculum development and implementation.
  • Experience with teaching in a community college setting.
