Soliant is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to fill a long-term substitute position in the Pittsburgh area. As a Speech-Language Pathologist with Soliant, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of students and make a meaningful impact on their educational and personal development.
Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Intervention: Conduct comprehensive assessments of students referred for possible speech and language needs, and provide individual and/or group therapy sessions to address identified disorders.
- Case Management: Develop and implement individualized education plans, and present them to parents, school administrators, and other stakeholders involved in student evaluations.
- Collaboration and Consultation: Work closely with teachers, counselors, parents, nurses, and administrators to address speech and language concerns, and provide consultation and support as needed.
- Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress, and provide regular reports to parents and other stakeholders.
- Organizational and Time Management: Organize and prioritize student caseload, and develop a schedule for each assigned school to ensure efficient and effective use of time.
- Education and Licensure: Possess a Pennsylvania SLP license and Department of Education credential (Education Specialist - Speech-Language Pathologist).
- Experience and Skills: Minimum 1+ years of experience in speech therapy, with excellent communication and organizational skills, and up-to-date knowledge of Pennsylvania Special Education procedures and best practices for SLPs in school settings.
