Job Summary:

Rush University Medical Center is seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team. As a Radiation Therapist, you will be responsible for delivering radiation therapy treatment as prescribed by the radiation oncologist, maintaining equipment, and ensuring quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver radiation therapy treatment accurately and safely
  • Maintain and troubleshoot equipment
  • Monitor patient's physical and physiological response to treatment
  • Document treatment delivery information in the electronic medical record
  • Collaborate with the radiation oncologist and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care

Requirements:

  • Valid Illinois State License in Radiation Therapy
  • Valid ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy
  • Valid BLS certification
  • Bachelor's degree or Graduate degree is highly desired
  • Proficient technical knowledge and skill set

Working Conditions:

The Radiation Therapist will work in a fast-paced environment with varying workload and working hours. The position requires the ability to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed.
