Job Summary

The Learning Experience #351 is seeking a dedicated Culinary Associate to join our team as an ambassador of happiness. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in serving daily nutritious meals that meet the proper nutritional requirements for children.

We are committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for our students, and we need someone with excellent food safety handling and sanitation procedures to ensure our food is stored properly. Your expertise in food preparation and cooking will be essential in creating delicious and balanced meals that cater to different tastes and dietary needs.

A successful candidate will have 1+ year of experience in food preparation and cooking, a High School Diploma or equivalent, and a food handling certificate or the ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire. If you possess strong organizational skills, patience, and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities
  1. Plan, prepare, and serve healthy and delicious meals for children.
  2. Maintain and track food allergies for each child, ensuring their safety and communicating identified allergies to teachers daily.
  3. Follow proper food safety, handling, and sanitation procedures.
  4. Collaborate with the Center Leadership team to purchase necessary food and supplies.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ year of experience in food preparation and cooking.
  • Fully vaccinated and able to provide proof of vaccination status.
  • The ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.

Estimated Salary: $13.00 per hour
