Job Summary

The Assembly Technician is responsible for conducting basic assembly and installation of truck and trailer mounted equipment. This role requires collaboration with the service department team to achieve customer satisfaction for services rendered.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reads job orders, plans work procedures, and documents work performed with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Installs and troubleshoots basic 12VDC electrical components with minimal assistance.
  • Performs Class 1-8 vehicle equipment installations with minimal supervision.
  • Under minimal supervision, installs components with consistency and inspects critical fittings in the assembly process.
  • Reviews assembly work to ensure a defective-free assembly prior to final quality control inspection.
  • Advises customer and/or service writer of any repairs or services which should be performed within the next 3 months.
  • Tags all warranty parts and returns and sends them to the warranty department.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experienced in the proper and safe use of hand and air-operated tools.
  • Must pass a 2G MIG weld test, as defined by the State of Oklahoma; including vertical, horizontal, and overhead applications and procedures to ensure integrity.
