We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Service Technician to join our team at Alta Equipment Group. As a key member of our construction equipment group, you will be responsible for providing top-notch service and repair to our customers' heavy equipment.
Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including inspections, removal and installation of parts, and implementation of optional accessories.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with heavy equipment, using your expertise in engine, power train, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Test and repair heavy equipment, ensuring that it is in good working condition and meets our high standards.
- Participate in our in-house training program to develop your skills and advance your career as a technician.
- Work collaboratively with our team to provide excellent customer service and support.
- Three years of previous heavy equipment repair experience is required.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and a solid understanding of engine, power train, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Possess own tools and a positive attitude with a high energy level.
- Must have a clean driving record and be able to lift up to 25 pounds regularly.
- Computer programs - Microsoft Outlook, Volvo VCADS.
- Language Skills - Intermediate: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Mathematical Skills - Basic: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
- Reasoning Ability - Intermediate: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
