Southcoast Health System is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our Radiology department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound exams and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform diversified clinical patient care, technical, and related duties within assigned modality as part of an interdisciplinary care team.
- Assume responsibility for each assigned patient, perform patient assessments, and correlate clinical findings with exam/procedure request.
- Obtain pertinent information from patients chart and document all data within the EHR.
- Position patient and select appropriate imaging equipment and supplies.
- Identify, prepare, and/or administer pharmaceuticals related to the exam/procedure.
- Select technical factors/parameters/sequences to produce quality images.
- Aware of the principles of ALARA and MR safety practices.
- Assist physicians in performing procedures.
- Successful completion of an accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Vascular Technology.
- Attainment of primary certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers, the Cardiovascular Credentialing International, or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Sonography.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
