Brattleboro Memorial Hospital, a community hospital serving greater Brattleboro and the tri-state area since 1904, is seeking a Registered Physical Therapist to join its team of caregivers.

The ideal candidate is energetic, flexible, and able to evaluate and treat a diverse population, including orthopedic, general medical, and neurological conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

The right person will be patient-centered and a strong team player.

The hospital's experienced Rehab team has a strong commitment to the community and collectively has over 200 years of service at BMH.

The team offers complete decongestive therapy, a pelvic health program, LSVT BIG, and vestibular rehab, in addition to general orthopedic/medical care.

Candidates with excellent evaluation and treatment skills, able to make independent treatment decisions, and interested in working in a supportive environment are encouraged to apply.

POSITION SUMMARY

The staff physical therapist is responsible for evaluating patients' physical conditions and needs, designing and implementing corrective treatment plans according to physical therapy principles and practice.

This includes continuous assessment of patients' progress and modification of plans and goals as necessary, collaborative consultation with other healthcare professionals, and maintenance of accurate and timely medical and business records.

The physical therapist has supervisory responsibility over clinical activities of assistants and at least one affiliated student per year.

Participation in departmental quality improvement activities, community outreach, and program development is also required.

QUALIFICATION

EDUCATION:

Graduate of an accredited P.T. program preferred.

EXPERIENCE/SKILL SETS:

Previous experience in acute care is preferred, but entry-level is acceptable.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION(S):

A State of Vermont license is required, a temporary license is acceptable on entry. CPR certification required.
