Traveling Mechanic

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Traveling Mechanic to join our team at Dynamic Aviation. As an NDT Field Technical Representative, you will play a critical role in supporting deployed aircraft operations by performing scheduled and unscheduled Non-Destructive Testing/Inspections.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel to various customer sites worldwide to perform Non-Destructive Inspections
  • Execute tests using established procedures and methods to determine airworthiness of aircraft and components
  • Interpret test results in accordance with applicable technical data
  • Document test results and communicate findings to appropriate personnel
  • Perform daily system performance tests on equipment to ensure compliance with NDT standards
  • Perform cleaning procedures before and after NDT Inspections

Requirements:

  • Valid FAA A&P License Required
  • High School education or GED required, some college is preferred
  • Documented previous training and qualification to meet the requirements of NAS 410 Level II in the following methods:
    • Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI)
    • Eddy Current (ET)
    • Previous certification in Ultrasonic Testing (UT) and Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) preferred
  • Ability to read and comprehend written materials, write legibly, and perform basic math calculations accurately
  • Must currently hold or be able to obtain an interim DoD Secret Clearance within three months
  • Maintain a current Passport
  • Able to work under austere conditions and meet certain medical requirements to be eligible to deploy
  • Strong attention to detail
  • 3 years + experience working in manufacturing/maintenance facilities
