Automation Engineer Job Description

At Pace Industries, we're committed to innovation and growth. As an Automation Engineer, you'll play a critical role in driving our manufacturing processes forward.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Evaluate workflows and identify opportunities for automation to boost productivity.
  2. Collaborate with leadership to determine existing automation capabilities and create project roadmaps to support business objectives.
  3. Design and implement automated systems for diverse manufacturing environments.
  4. Lead discussions to determine automation capabilities and goals.
  5. Create detailed project plans to guide automation projects from conception to implementation.
  6. Support existing automation technology with component and process upgrades.
  7. Troubleshoot equipment problems using knowledge of PLC controllers, circuit analysis, electronics, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  8. Develop in-house training documents and prepare reports, diagrams, and charts.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or a related technical field.
  2. 5-10 years of experience in designing and implementing automated systems, especially in manufacturing.
  3. Business acumen, including P&L.
  4. Knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and ISO 14001.
  5. Experience with APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and Process Flow.
